Description

The Lake Chapala Society hosts the Can Am celebrations every year, usually at the beginning of July. By Can-Am we mean ¨Canadian¨and ¨American¨, where the LCS combines American traditions such as the 4th of July with Canadian traditions. Since we have a large amount of both Canadian and American expats living in the Ajijic area, this event has become a favorite among both.

There is an array of different activities and of course foods to enjoy such as art stands, fundraisers, musical groups, baked goods, book sales and even clubs and organizations join the event, such as the Lakeside Little theater. There is allot of dancing to be had and of course the traditional hots dogs and hamburgers, which is a must when visiting this event.
