The local celebrations done every year are most anticipated when it is the “Fiestas” of each town. During the middle of June the “Fiestas of San Antonio Tlayacapan” take place and it is a time of year when all locals from San Antonio celebrate their town. It is one of the smallest delegations in the Lake Chapala area but they sure know how to make a big celebration when it comes to their town. Most locals around lake Chapala visit the fiestas and it is a time of year when lakesiders know the rainy season has officially started, since we always experience some of the first rain’s during the fiestas.
