The Rebozo event is hosted the very next day after the traditional “Regatta de Globos” and is one of the most traditional and oldest events held in the Ajijic area. Dating back over a hundred years, the Rebozo parade is kept alive by the locals, which is not an easy task, since funds need to be raised to keep this event going year by year. Both older and younger women participate in this tradition, there are even a few little girls who parade along with their mothers, showing their traditional Mexican outfit along with their Rebozo.
